You may have heard about house points at Currajong.
We use our 4 sports houses to run an in-school incentive competition which encourages our students to work on their own behaviour and attendance - two very important contributors to success at school.
Points updates are provided at parade each week and can be viewed on the House Points tally sheets in the office foyer.
Students can earn Hot Shots for following our 5 school rules - these are deposited in the boxes in the foyer of the office and are counted each Thursday at 10am - each Hot Shot earns 50 points for the house points total.
Other ways to earn points are:
100% attendance for the week - 100 points
Green slips - 200 points
Winning teachers who hand out Hot Shots - 500 points
Student of the week - 250 points
Houses are working towards point goals to earn a house reward. Houses that achieve their points earn a teachers vs students game.

The whole school is working towards point goals to earn a mystery reward!

House meetings occur every Monday afternoon from 2:20-2:50pm. Meetings alternate, one week it is whole school house meetings where P-6 students meet as a house where they are introduced to the fortnights topic by the house student leaders. On the other week year level house groups meet together to discuss the fortnightly topic at a level specific to their year level.
