You will have noticed that there have been more forms being sent home for signatures for excursions and activities.

We are now required to have parent permission (Commitment to Participate Form) before we are able include a student in the excursion planner.

Please see below more information about the new procedures:

New Process for School Excursions and Activities

To assist with planning and organising excursions, we are introducing a new process for all school excursions and activities.

What families need to do:

  • A Commitment to Participate form will be sent home for each excursion or school activity requiring parent permission and/or payment
  • This form must be completed and returned by the closing date stated on the form
  • We can only issue an excursion invoice after the Commitment to Participate form has been received
  • Students who return a Commitment to Participate form will then be provided with a permission form
  • The permission form must also be completed and returned before the excursion

Why is this form important?

The Commitment to Participate form allows the school to:
  • Confirm student numbers attending the excursion
  • Make bookings for buses, venues, tickets and activities
  • Calculate the final cost of the excursion based on participant numbers
  • Ensure excursions are organised efficiently and accurately

Important reminders:

  • Commitment to Participate forms must be returned by the closing date
  • Unfortunately, forms received after the closing date cannot be accepted, as bookings and cost calculations will already have been finalised
  • Once participant numbers and costs have been confirmed, families will receive:
    • the excursion permission form
    • the excursion invoice.
We appreciate your prompt response and support with this process. Accurate student numbers enable us to make bookings, determine costs and organise excursions effectively for all students.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
