It is that time of year again when we are starting the Student Leadership Process with the year 5 students in preparation for 2027.
To become a student leader, we move through three phases.
Phase 1 - Nominations
- Nominations open Monday 31 August (week 8)
- Completed applications (form and written response) due Wednesday 7 October (Term 4, week 1)
- Finalised shortlist of applicants – Friday 9 October (Term 4, week 1)
Phase 2 - Campaigns
- Campaigns run from Monday 12 October to Friday 23 October (weeks 2 & 3)
- Student speeches during Week 4 (26 to 30 October), time and date to be confirmed
Phase 3 - Elections
- Staff and student voting due Week 4
- Leaders announced on Gold Academic Award Parade (End of Term 4)
As many families want to support their children through this process, I run a couple of information sessions (same session repeated) for parents, so that they are aware of the requirements. These will occur on:
* Thursday 3 September at 3:30pm and
* Wednesday 9 September at 5:00pm.
